These traditional, somewhat charming cookers perform with a reasonable amount of background noise. However, their heat generation is excellent and fuel resupply is guaranteed virtually world wide. Although the manufacturers recommend the use of pure benzine (unquestionably the most efficient fuel), they do operate well on `normal lead free.´ However, the jets and generators do need replacing more frequently and spares should always be somewhere in the rucksack. Prewarming, adjusting the flame and building up pressure are an essential ritual in cooking ouitdoors. Reading the instructions and practicing before the expedition ensure success and not frustration!
